FAQ

When can I come and shop for herbs without an acupuncture/bodywork appointment?

I am open to the public from 1-6 every Friday without any need for an appointment. I schedule patients during other days outside of that time.

How many acupuncture treatments will help me?

This varies from person to person, but commonly I suggest scheduling 4 sessions, each one week apart initially to make some progress.

What can I expect during a session?

I combine multiple styles of acupuncture, massage, energy work, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion and herbal medicine. We will have ample time to speak together about your health needs and history.

What clothing should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that rolls up to knees and elbows is helpful, but I can always accommodate anything you are wearing.

How much does a session cost?

$140 for the intitial appointment, and $100 for follow-up

Do you accept insurance?

I do not bill insurance, but after you have paid, I am happy to send you a medical superbill. You may contact your insurance to find out if they will reimburse you for out-of-network acupuncture services.

Do you offer sliding scale fees?

I offer a limited number of 1 hour sessions for $65 instead of $100. Once the spots are filled I am not able to add more. Please contact me via email if: You are temporarily in need of very frequent treatments due to an acute medical issue.

How do I refill my herbal formula?

Since I am seeing patients during the weekdays for acupuncture, herbal medicine and massage, I am unable to fill herbs outside of public shop hours every Friday 1-6. Sometimes, if you are my patient, we are actively working together to treat something complex and specific herbs are needed at specific timelines. In this case, I occasionally fill herbs outside of Friday for currently scheduled patients if we have discussed a plan for this during your scheduled treatment time.

Why don't you have an herbal formula that I have purchased previously? Will you make this herbal formula again? Do you always have the same teas and tinctures available?

Since this medicine is made seasonally, slowly, with intention for healing and respect for the limits of the land, our earth, and my own body - the medicine I have on hand will vary each day. If a favorite of yours is not available, we can work together to find another blend for you.

Can you contact me when an herb is back in stock?

I am unable to keep specific call back lists at this time.
